Before i go any further...opinions please

I thought i would like this Antique brass colour on my frame. Im not sure about it now. Its not as dark as i had hoped. Any opinions? Im thinking of going back to black.

Let's see...brass frame, black 'tins', black rims, brass spokes, black engine, ...8-[

Might have trouble covering up the shiny aluminum and chrome pieces, but it might work. :-D

I"m going to call it Gold. I was expecting more of an orangish tint when you said antique brass. I will say though, I like the color. Maybe the tank should be this color too.

        Here's one in Gold Powdercoat

I dunno bout the tank. I was thinking black with this colour (or some semblance of it) as the rally striping. The cap (yeah its rattle bomb) was more of a brownish tint than straight near gold. I still dunno.

Alright...ive had another look at it, seems to darken a bit as it dries. So i went ahead and finished it out. Not as gold as the pics show either, i think it will do the trick. If i REALLY REALLY was worried that much about the look of the frame tho i suppose i should have done a lil grinding to some spots....but IMO its the FRAME. Not a focal point from my eyes.

Not sure who it belongs to. I think it is a CB though.
I kinda like the non-metallic gold look. Probably a bit more vintage look to it like that. I remember seeing a Brit bike with a featherbed frame that was powdercoated gold like that. Looked terrific

While i would have liked to have powdered this frame, I dont have the patience to wait on it, nor can i really afford it. I suppose down the road i'll kick myself for it...but i want it done NOW...lol At the rate im going, im going to get this thing done BARELY in time to hit the street first couple months of spring.

I think it looks good. If you have access to a lathe, you can turn up some bits out of brass to match it and that might be real classy.

Also, that colour looks good on brake calipers and what not, so you can pull the whole thing together.

Might I suggest though...avoid black tinware. The black/gold thing has been done to death. Try white or green bodywork. Both look great with gold/brass and will set your bike apart.

                      Whah? Not a focal point?
The frame is everything in my eyes right now. Well, half of everything. She's gotta have guts too, i guess. but the whole point of an offset colored frame is to make it stick out, and I think that color'll do it well - provided the rest of the creation is tied in tastefully, of course.
An hey, it's only paint right? If'n you don't like you can make it dayglow orange next winter.

That CB frame could possibly be Carpy's from cb750cafe.com
