Putting GSXR footpegs on a GS?
Was going through some of my brother's stuff to send to him in CA and came across some footpegs we bought for his '00 GSX-R 750 and found some foot pegs I'd like to have.

the setup won't work the way the pegs mount between the 2 bikes is very different. you would have to do some serious fabricating to get them to fit.
.
your best bet is to buy some gsxr rearsets complete with master cylinder and fab up some mounting plates78 GS1000 Yosh replica racer project

Indeed. Both 8TrackMind and Dardoonk (and possibly others, but these are the most recent ive seen) have used modern rearsets on their GSs and from what ive read the fabricating was relatively simple. Im not sure about 8Tracks, but Dardoonk used the rear master and res from the rearsets and eliminated the stock set up, which is much easier than trying to make the stock set up work with the modern sets. Other than making the brackets, it was, from what i can tell, a simple upgrade, and even the brackets werent that tough. I think even *I* could do it...hehe Watch fleabay and you'll run across deals. 8Track's entire set up cost him 77 bucks, start to finish.

Errr i think he's talking about just the footrests guys not the complete assembly is that right Aubra ? :?
If thats right its you might find the angles are wrong but they are worth keeping to give it a try :-D

yeah, it's just the footrests unless i get a wild hair up my rear and convert the rear wheel to disc brakes (which may happen anyway) I think I'm gonna do some experimenting

Same
I put those exact same footrest on my 78 GS1000. They slide right in but I had to grind the radius on them down so they would be completely horizontal. I also used a hayabusa spring on them...so they are spring loaded. The stock footrest are at least a pound and a half each. These aluminum ones weigh next to nothing; however they will transmit vibration much more.
