    Help finding Seat Cover

I know in the past I have found a site that sould covers that fit my 82GS1100E, however I can't seem to find them anymore. I believe the one that I was interested in had almost a carbon fiber look to it and that there was a member on this site that had a similar cover with a blue trim, but I don't remember who...

It's hell working 12 hour days 6 days a week all winter, now my mind is shot and everything that I wanted to do to the bike I CANT REMEMBER...LOL

    Please a little help...thanks!

Personally not a fan of covers. Why not check out the local auto upholstery shops and get them to quote you a price on recovering it? They can probably do anything you want colorwise even two tone schemes.

I believe Sargent makes fresh seat cover vinyl for your bike, and you can have them make it with various options:
Sargent Cycle Products provides high-quality aftermarket motorcycle seats and accessories to create the ideal riding experience.

Here's a Sargent cover going on an 1100E:

Also, B&H makes very nice covers for almost anything. Their textured look material is full of HOLES, so as long as you don't get that, you'll be very happy.

However, they don't customize. You get a stock shape only.
      1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
      2005 KLR685, Aztec Pink - Turd II.3, the ReReReTurdening
2015 Yamaha FJ-09, Magma Red Power Corrupts...
      Eat more venison.

Please provide details. The GSR Hive Mind is nearly omniscient, but not yet clairvoyant.

That would have been Joe Nardy and I believe thats a Corbin seat. Mine is a Travelcade and at fraction of the $$ and quality as a Corbin it works for me.

We have very view upholstery shops in the area that will deal with a motorcycle seat or automotive for that matter, and the 3 quotes that I have recieved so far (not including foam) has been up around 300.00 dollars. (ouch)

I believe Sargent is the seat cover that I looked at in the past...ty for the link to the similar install.

          Thanks for the help.

            Holy cow!
I got lucky. Local guy here who mainly does aircraft seats and convertible tops. He had done one before (MC seat), but been years. He did a bang up job on mine with marine vinyl for $75.00

Yep, that's my bike. The cover is a Sargent cover and it cost around $85 a few years back. I installed it myself, along with some Atomic Super Cell foam to firm the seat up. Jethro did a similar cover without the colored piping and wrote up a nice pictorial on how to install the cover. It is one of the links in bwringer's post above. It isn't very hard to do. You can pick the colors and textures of the vinyl. They even sent me color swatches so I could match the color to my bike. They will also do custom work for more $$.

              Thanks,
              Joe

Yep, this forum is unique. No other forum I've seen has as much info and people who are so willing to help.

I am getting ready to order the same seat cover as this except with red trim. Do you remember the style? I believe they now offer either a "pleated insert" seat cover or a "carbon fx insert" seat cover, either with colored piping as yours has. Is yours the "carbon fx insert"?

                    Thanks.

The textured seating surfaces on my seat are 'Griptex', which has been discontinued by Sargent. CarbonFX is a similar textured surface. I'm guessing 'pleated' would have stitched pleats across the surface like the OEM seat. Here's a description of the different parts of the seat from Sargent's website:

                      Thanks,
