I'm talking about the waterslide type (the kind you use on plastic airplane models) that you print on from your computer printer. I can buy 8 1/2" x 11" (or larger) sheets of this paper relatively cheap.

Has anyone ever made their own "large scale" decals for their bike?

Ink jet ink typically is prone to fading. There are some versions that are more fade resistant these days though so it might be worth a try if you don't plan on keeping the bike forever and/or are not very picky.Ed
