i then purchased some pre cut 1mm thick perspex from ebay, i believe it was 99mm diameter so its a nice snug fit. then mate it up on the cover, mark it up and Very caefully drill the holes. be carefull though cuz the perspex cracks easily when drilling.
the whole inside of the cover was then polished, to reflect the light and the crank centre nut and bolt was polished too.
the leds are off the shelf mni leds, 3 on a self adhesive surface mount, all wired up and ready to fit, available in many colours, fit these up towards the top right hand side of the cover.
then just wire them up, either to a 12v supply switched by the ignition or you could wire them up to your lighting circuit so the led's only light up when the lights are on.(may be wrong but i believe most of your models have the lights permanently on anyway!)
hope this "how to" helps but any questions please ask :-DLast edited by Agemax; 06-07-2008, 10:30 AM.1978 GS1085.
Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!
