belly pans?
any of you guys fitted a belly pan to your GS off a different bike? am thnking it would look good if its the right shape and fits well. cant seem to find anywhere that sells them new so was wondering if one off a different bike would fit and look ok. a bit of modding would be expected1978 GS1085.

There's a couple of guys on here with pics - look pretty smart and I'm thinking of it myself. I put one on a 550 as well once and that looked neat.
They sell them here:
and worth giving these guys a ring:
UK's No1 Producer of motorcycle bodywork. Quality screens, headlight covers, rear huggers, fairing lowers, cockpit fairings, belly pans and other accessories for old and new models, plus custom bikes.
or this might fit:
79 GS1000S
79 GS1000S (another one)
80 GSX750
80 GS550
80 CB650 cafe racer
75 PC50 - the one with OHV and pedals...
75 TS100 - being ridden (suicidally) by my father

Yeah, have a full set of lowers (aftermarket that came with the bike) for the Kat, look good but prefer the naked look ( Where are ya Zooks, you won't let that one slip by will you?) I did not have trouble with engine heat when they were fitted but air temps at the time only got to 35 C, also change engine oil and filter every 3000km so even if it was getting hot the oil didn't get much of a chance to breakdown. Sorry no pics as the lowers are on a rack in the shed at this time, when I can get at them I'll rest them against the Kat to give you some idea what they look like, cheers.Last edited by Shin-Ken 1074; 07-04-2008, 06:55 AM.Badgezz, we don need noh stinkin' badgezz!

Hi Agemax, these are not belly pans I know but thought the full lowers might offer some ideas for you. They are an aftermarket item that was popular with Katana owners in the eighties, the UK may have had a version as well? Cheers.
