    Certainly remember that hot rod.
Always liked the look of Astralite wheels.

1970. They had the full chrome bumper. '69 had the split grille, and '68 looked like this.

Many years ago I hit a deer with the 1100e I had at the time. After I replaced the glass, I was left with a scuffed up headlight ring which I dolled up the best I could, then painted it black. I preferred that look from that moment on.

Ah, the ol' zip-tie mounting method.
Probably floating rotors why not floating calipers.

I am starting to come around on the black headlight ring look.

The ‘82 is a GS in spirt only, anymore, as I am swapping in a GSX1100F engine. All that remains is the tank, about half of the frame, the iconic train headlight, kickstand and little else.

It took me a bit to remember you and your project. Really admired your workmanship on that til section. You need to finish it some day! Glad you picked up the 1100 as it's a keeper. Cheers!

Okay, I think I got it!
The front calipers in this pic are held on with zip ties, I needed spacers and ended up swapping them out for R1 calipers a day later.

Nice bike! Did you used to have a GS with custom body work?

Thanks, Dorkburger, spreading the love. I tried, unsuccessfully, last summer to get an ES like yours. Damn flaky Craigslist seller. I would love to have an 1150, the peak of the air cooled!

Steve Murdoch, it’s a set of Gen2 Haybusa forks in TL1000s triples with B12 wheels. Kind of evolved.

I keep trying to put up a picture bigger than a postage stamp, but I am having no luck. I used to link to either my old site or photof*cket, before they took to ransom, no problem. Now, I have neither. I have tried Imgur, and it says “wrong file”, and pulling off my IPad, gets me the tiny pic. I think it is rude to hot link to another forum, so I don’t know what to do for GSR.
