    Love that one!

For my needles, I sanded and painted the needles with the same paints used for the gauges. Tried to keep the coating light so as not to upset the balance too much. I fear I may need to get pulled over to check the speedo accuracy now.

I've done my gauges up in "S" styling. They're not the original styling, but my own design. It's what started up all this gauge face nonsense! Lol! Take a look back on page 15 at the bottom. http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...130920&page=15

I have pictures of mine, just forgot the camera at home today. I was the first one to get them, and the last to install.

Just tying up some loose ends at home right now and I'll be back for order #3.

I logged on to ask that very question. I need another set for my 850 now.

          Finally....

I finally started working on coloring in my face plates. I took the tach apart. I used a screwdriver and peeled back the metal rim. Took a little time but not too bad.

I forgot to mark the needle but it was right on the bump stop when I took it apart. I tried searching on this thread but what did everyone do with the stop pin? Just leave it off?

I will make sure to mark the speedo needle before I take that one off.

I am sure I am not the last one to get around to installing these.

I'd be interested, too. Maybe if they haven't been done yet all the S owners can go in on a batch?

just wanna ask if anyone knows about having the white printed letters on the guages redone . I would someday like to have them restored on my 750s..was thinking about getting stickers made, but would really like it if they could be repainted back on like factory.

if you are going to the trouble of stripping your guages then why not just replace the face. save embarresment when you try and put on a self adhesive one and get it wrong during fitment.

Rudy's guage faces are perfect and well worth the money

the letters are printed on the face of the housing...see any pic. They wear off the plastic after a while..I am not talking about the guage itself...the housing is what i am concerned with. Under each of the lights it says HIGH BEAM OIL.P NEUTRAL GEAR POS..

I looked on bikebandit and the guages and the housing itself is a discontinued items. a slick sticker to RENEW the lettering down the middle would be the cats azzz.

my mistake, on the 1000 the warning lights words are embossed in the plastic, not stickers so they can just be detailed in.
