    Front Brake Master Cylinder Replacement/Compatibilty

Hey everyone, glad to see the site is back up (a big thanks to Frank); Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has replaced their front brake master cylinder (to get rid of the big reservoir) and possibly what is compatible with it (banjo fittings). I'm thinking of going down to a single caliper so if anyone has info on this I'd appreciate it.

Stock twin is 5/8" piston. Stock single is 14mm. Anything close to this should work ok.

why would you want to reduce your braking ability?

most any that have similar threads should work.. i have a master off an 1150 and it works fine...

i'm also using a master off a kawasaki ninja on a kz400 and works fine.

Its not that I want to reduce the braking ability, the stock setup was designed in say 1960 something, and I'm assuming after 40 years of research and development that newer calipers/master cylinder designs have become more efficient with size; with that said the main reason to replace is to reduce the size of the reservoir.

im using a gsf600 master cylinder with a single gsxr disc squashed by a kawasaki zx9r caliper. much better than the standard gs set up and much less unsprung weight

Does that setup bolt up? If not I can manufaccture brackets, if I had to.
