Wow, Nice and Nice. Great find.
700 is reputed to have long duration cams to get back some of the top end they lost when the engine was destroked. Should be a rev monster.
I recently picked up a 750ES and spent the entire weekend working on it. These 3rd generation GS bike seems to be high quality and are pretty easy to work on.
Enjoy.Ed

Not running
Yeah its pretty clean but it has not run in 2 years, the guy who had it last did drain the fuel prior to parking it. I may tear down the carbs this weekend, it came with a new battery and some spare parts. Any suggestions other than the cleaninig the carbs to getting her to fire?
I am thinkin about selling it......

Any time I get a new GS the carbs get rebuilt w/new o-rings inside and on the intake boots, and the valves get adjusted before I even bother to fire it up. If the brake fluid is dark a full system teardown is in order as well. Changing the oil is a given as is new tires if the ones on the bike are old. Once you get it running, sync the carbs and check the charging system. All basic stuff.
I'm most likely going to sell the one I bought as well but you never know. Old GS bikes seem to be a better investment than the stock market these days so it can't hurt to hold onto them these days.Ed

Bike value depends on condition, location, and season. You need to provide more information before an informed estimation can be made.Ed
