Yeah, I'd say that after you get the engine mounted up to fab up some supports under/infront of the seat area...maybe with some gussets.

How much rake did you end up going with? And did you shorten the forks?

Thanks for all of th positive comments guys, I am moving forward slowly but surely. I am breathing life back into a 76 Cb 750SS to sell to get a bit more grip for this project.

Colorado - I love all bikes for what they are, if I had more money I would have a hanger full of them. As it is there are 10 bikes in my garage, 4 of which are projects. Fun stuff!

We will look at adding gussets as needed (especially with my size, I am a big boy), but I want this to be bare bones and dirty. We kicked the front end out to 38 degrees and left the forks stock. After running the numbers several times that was the most we could go with.

Hey Mr Ed, any chance you still have the case guard that was on the 1000 when you got it? If so would you be interested in selling it?

Nice looking project you've got going there.

The engine guards that were on the bike are POS. You can have them if you want to pay for shipping and a beer someday. Let me know what you think.

PM you address and I will let you know the cost...
