Pretty Sweet !!!! Now I want to hear it run..... I'm not looking foward to doing the fork seals... The tops are one big piece of rust. Maybe I will get lucky and the rust will break free, If not it looks loke I'll be drilling and cutting.

try a electric impact to loosen it up, find a socket,or allen or make one, the impact should break it loose

Joe's tube in the pics was real clean compared to the ones I had.
A rusted glob.
But yes, correct, the 700's have the worst Suzuki "cost saver" ever used into the tops of the forks. "snap ring", more like "wire clip ring," and yes once they are stuck, you are.........screwed...
Not sure on the 83' 750.... too tired to look it up....
But, anyway.
On a 700..turn/cut them out as/if needed. I could see it being a pain in the arse without machines to do the job...
Tip..
Once out, and replaced... Put some bearing grease in the tops to keep it from happening again.

i guess i should have said if your model has the Screw in type it is a good way to get them loose--- AND---
SKU: 51175-34210
SEAT, SPRING---- if this part has a allen hole to turn the thing
a electric impact would help break loose any light rust, it DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A THREADED CAP----the way i meant-
i say electric (because a high power air impact might strip the area for the tool ) if your not careful
so you can go to hell
you think your GOD of suzuki? kiss my a$$ ,
rkt rch--sorry if it was mis leading
ray dont reply to me anymore the reply wasnt for you,i dont car what you have or what you built

I might add Eric ( tejasmud) did the machine work for me...

i was just trying to meet people, and help anyway i could, its not your forum, if they dont like my reply, well sorry to them , i havent been feeling well, just wanted to talk to people
ray my bikes run, i dont care model what i ride! - i can fix them, when you mix 1150 parts on 1100's i dont know, or 1100 on 750's-, not saynig i did
your asking about a pin on a rotor?,after all your talk?
if there is a pin on it- it was designed by engineers for a reason- ect...
your not perfect far far from it
btw- quit begging people to buy your over priced stuff, and belittling people
i was right, the person stripped out the head just like i tried to help them NOT TO DO,it didnt need to be a threaded cap,to turn it
as for meeting me, , im not one to mess with, so dont threaten me, cause i said kiss my a$$, i didnt call you names- but if you want to fight, come to illinois ,and my handicapped a$$ will beat ya black and blue

So, I gues you are about 20 or so, huh? Try growing up before you want to come play with the big boys. I never threatened you, I just want to meet you. My Dad had a saying "It's better to keep your mouth closed & let people WONDER if you are stupid than it is to open your mouth & CONFIRM it!" I guess you never heard that one! I will CONTINUE to call out people that give out INCORRECT info to people that could screw up their stuff. If you don't like that do some reading & make SURE your posts are correct & not just a guess! Then I won't need to correct you. Ray.Last edited by rapidray; 03-04-2010, 08:39 PM.
