Awesome project, jwhelan. Nice to have a well-documented (and pictured) project to watch, especially when I'm going to be doing the same on (essentially) the same bike.

What kind of deal did you work out with Reproduction Decals on getting the vinyl done? They don't have anything for the 83 GS750ES either, I've been throwing around the idea of trying to find a willing owner of a nice one to send their stuff to Reproduction Decals to get something made for that bike.

Again nice work so far, can't wait to see it done.

      Decals

      Groundshock,
Reproduction Decals did not have 85 GS700es decals either. I had to pack them up and ship all the parts to them. If you send them the parts on a model they do not have they will cut them for free. It cost me about $50.00 shipping to Canada. They are going to send them to BK Finishes for paint and decal application. The paint , decals and shipping cost $900. Yeah kinda pricey but ready to bolt on when they get here. While the parts are away the carbs get overhauled and anything else to finish it up. The swingarm is being powder coated black, should have it back this week..I was alittle hesitant to go black because initially I wanted to keep her stock. But after I got my 1100 swinger done it was a go.

          not much to look at

Tore off the carbs and the airbox, just an FYI ..I had to cut the box up to remove it ( you were correct Mr Rapid Ray ). Removed all the engine covers for polishing

Can you post a closeup of the PC job on the swingarm? Curious to see what kind of finish you're getting from a pro.

                thx,

                Lee

Not sure, you may have to call V & H, this was listed on Ebay as a new leftover
