So I have a question for you powder coaters: Which brand do you think has the "chromiest looking" chrome color? Does the clear coat coating make it shinier?

Unfortuneatly, non of the chrome's really look like chrome. To me any way. However, of all the chrome's i've tried. I prfer the Xtreme Chrome from Columbia coatings. That coupled with a clear top coat creates the closest to chrome i've seen.

      Texatl: Thank you

All the chromes that I've tried look like HPC coating that you get on headers. I haven't tried the colombia yet..I've tried a black high temp ceramic last week on a sidewinder header but have yet to get the pipe mounted, so I don't know yet how well it works. Pictures will be coming asap

I have not tried eastwood's products yet, though.

Are you talking high temp powder coating or the paint on ceramic coatings? I was looking at Columbia's high temp ceramic for my headers, but that's painted on in liquid form. I'd be interested if their were high temp coatings that came in powder form...

                    That's the Eastwood reflective chrome.

I guess I'll reverse my previous theory about Eastwood's being the same as Columbia's. Although they don't tell you what the base looked like, or whether there's another coating underneath it. Maybe I'll have to look into Eastwood's products and do a comparison.
