    Upsidedown forks on a GS

Just to let anyone know who wants to know. I happened to look on the All Balls site to see what the head bearings for my FZR1000 will fit and they fit my '79 GS850G. Who'da thunk it.

So, other than the steering stem being about an inch longer (you would need a spacer) you could potentially slip the huge upsidedown front end from a '90-'95 FZR1000 onto a GS.

Yea, I know. There is a bit more to it than just bolting it on. Hey, it's a start.

From what I have heard, the later model Suzuki forks bolt right on.

You could a problem with the length of the forks {shorter] than the std ones that can give ground clearance / handling probs you will also have to go with the FZ fnt wheel, this will be a larger section so think about the rear it can be done there are fork extentions to be had.

Here is a list of all bikes that have same size bearings.... remember stem length may be a issue but this list is a bible lol
