    Great progress today!

Had a good day of work and felt like indulging myself...
Sorry for the bad pics. They are from my phone.

Waiting on my Dynojet kit and K&N's. Also planning on powdercoating the wheels and fork lowers gloss black.

Ubu tonight1 it is "Two for tuesday" at the brewery. Just wanted to note how much better the overall fit and finish is on my new Vance an Hines compared to the Mac systems I have used in the past. Don't know how it works yet but is sure looks great.

Small but I always hated those reflectors and the big turn signals... Got rid of them both!

The pictures look great for a camera phone! The bike looks REAL good and your shop is very impressive.

Thanks guys. The seat cover is a Saddlemen (sp?) ... I think this is the one:http://www.saddlemen.com/store/index...oducts_id=6246

Check out Basscliff's tutorial on replacing seat covers herehttp://members.dslextreme.com/users/...eplacement.pdf

All the tabs on my seat pan were broken off so i drilled the pan and used pop rivets to hold the cover. Getting it to look good is all about getting the cover stretched tight enough. I find some heat from a hair dryer helps.

Wish i could say the shop was mine. Well no, then I'd have a big mortgage. It is my friends. They are an auto shop mostly. I help out in my spare time in the summer when people bring bikes in to get worked on. Not much motorcycle work in the winter so i get to take over the bike lift. The kicker is they have a dyno! Can't wait to tune this thing up.

I have the same V & H on my 81. Excellent pipe IMHO, it has a great "old school" sound and is actually not very loud until you get above 5000 RPM. I even have a HD diehard buddy that commented on how much he likes the sound of it.

Twofer Tuesday! I grew up in NY and worked for the ADK trail crew for three seasons. We went into the woods on Friday night and came out on Tuesday... suffice it to say, me and twofer Tuesday were good friends once I turned 21. I really like the rear signals/seat mount. The whole bike looks crazy clean! -nick

                    Why, Hello Friend!

Kidding about mooching aside, did you rechrome the cam covers?
Do you know of a good chromer in the the area? I'm new to the Northern VT/NY area and am thinking about rechroming my fork tubes (and maybe a few other things) this spring.

Clumzi>>> Did you work for Wes on the trail crew? Pretty good friend of mine.

Shaughn... No I haven't rechromed anything yet but would like to. Keep me in mind if you come across anyone.

I've been looking at that seat cover but i ocassionally see different patterns. I like your pattern the most.

My brother used to work for the HD/Suzuki dealership in Plattsburg NY. I'll see if there is any one around there that rechromes.

Hey, thanks! Small world too, I grew up in Ashburnham, and dated a
girl from New Ipswitch, and worked at Millipore in Jaffrey as temp gig right out of high school. This summer I drove out there just to get icecream at Kimball's and show a girl the Cathedral of the Pines. Hope the icestorm didn't leave you to bad off!

Sorry to hear you grew up in ashburnham, HA! I like that area. I live on Squantum rd almost at the end near prescott road & cathedral meet.

Kimball's is great! Fortunately i only go there 5-6x a summer or i would need something bigger than an 850 to get me around.

If you're back in the area let me know.

Ice storm was a hugh mess. Driving up from squantum to cathedral road to rt119 was bad. You were like driving thru a maze of down trees and power lines. I came home that thurs night at 11:45pm only maybe 2 trees down. Woke up friday morning and looked like small tornado went thru. Lost power for 11 days. I think everyone has power now, within the last week, but some lines are still hanging pretty low and a few utility poles need to be fixed.

Com Cast/Verizon/Fair Point trucks are coming around now fixing lines that need repair.

I grew up in the northeast kingdom, Evansville - near willoughby lake. That's were my brothers shop is.

I use to go to burlington/shelburne/charlotte often. Like that area a lot too, country setting but close to burlington.
