Got a little work done today its been hard with work I havent had much time for play. I would like to attach full size pics if anyone has a tutorial on how to do this or a link please let me know. I also ordered some clip on handle bars today so I could remove those annoying stock handle bar mts. I also ordered a dirtbike throttle so I could move the start and kill switches to somewhere else on the bike.

Only problem I am running into now is getting the aligment right

The easiest way I think would be to get another swingarm since yours is already chopped. That way you could use the geometry that Suzuki already set in place. Without a dedicated frame jig the odds of it being straight and are not good.

If you have another use it. Tak your hardtail tubing in place and then cut the swingarm out. Some sort of jig to keep things level and from moving would be great. Just remember when you weld things are going to move.

Here it is all welded up. Still got a lot of work left but its getting there.

More pics I ordered a t500 throttle today. And got my clipon handle bars in the mail.

Not to be too critical but your rear upper tubes need to be replaced. The lower tube will crack right behind where the upper tube ends. Your gussets are all wrong also.

Dude, I have taken alot of grief myself on here for choppin up the beloved GS, but I cannot, in good conscience, let the design of your hardtail, go without a bit of friendly advice: Do not attempt to use that bike w/ the frame in its current state. It will fail(quickly) and could cause much bodily harm in the process. I'm no design engineer but that is just not safe. Go over to The Chopper Underground and search hardtail, you'll get hundreds of threads to research and learn from. Some of the members over there have been building frames for years and have solid advice and design ideas to share. Not tryin to bust yur chops, just don't want to see anybody get hurt. I know you'all may think its wrong but the welder that did the bike has been doing this since he was 14 so no offense to anyone but I trust him over y'all. He has been doing this for over 30 year's.. And it is not completely done yet I wasnt going to ride it in this condition. I would be out of my mind to ride it right now.

I wouldn't worry so much about the sprocket as i would getting a larger rear wheel to fit.

It's sad that another GS will end up being chopped up.

Did your buddy have schooling in chassis fabrication or just welding? It definately wasn't chassis fab! Your friend is going to get you hurt. For someone that has been doing that, what ever it is since they were 14. They really shouldn't do that at all. No matter how good the welds are it is not going to keep the tubing from failing! What is the wall thickness of the tubing? Sorry for the harsh words but man don't ride that thing!
