new muffler
I'm not a huge fan of the magaphone exhausts on my 850. Can some of you folks that have changed your mufflers post some pics, prices, and maybe where you got your aftermarket mufflers. I would really like to change mine out.Tags: None

The stock mufflers are welded onto one of the head pipes. To replace the muffler alone, it would have to be cut off and an aftermarket muffler welded, or clamped, in place. There are a few "slip on" type aftermarket mufflers (which require cutting the stock system into parts) but they are hard to find since I think most, if not all, are out of production these days.
Most people needing a new exhaust get a whole new header system. You might be in custom territory if you want a header with canister type muffler for an 850.Ed
To measure is to know.
