    So red is faster, eh?

If that's true, Tom's bike should fly!!

I'm rebuilding and painting a set of VM29's for my buddy Tom_MLC. Just finished painting the last body. The tops and bowls will be polished, and all new stainless hardware. They should look good! Probably the only set of red 29's around!

I'll post up again when they are all back together.

          Show off

Maybe in the winter... It's currently getting an oil change, exhaust clean up, wheel paint (front anyway.. rear, maybe If I can be bothered...) & CBR rotors. Need the load lugging capacity of the G for the Rally but I'd like to get it going again in the next week or two.

Looks like you have a nice set up goin for ya but it looks like you need to take a break and clean your garage. I bet your project would go a lot faster if you had a clean space to work in.

I've been using high-temp caliper paint with great results.

I charge $150 plus parts/freight to do a set. That would include dipping, rebuilding the carbs, painting the bodies, and polishing or painting the tops and bowls.

That's reasonable, It looks really good. I just had Chef rebuild my carbs on the 700es so the carbs are ready to run, but the bodies are in rough condition. I used red caliper paint on my 1100 calipers, but I am thinking about having the front and rear powdercoated because the front gsxr 1100 calipers will require stripping. The bandit rear cal in the pic below was ready for paint.
Any suggestions on stripping that caliper?

I'd try some aircraft stripper. Might take a few applications.
