Excellent site, amazing results, very reasonable. Interested to see how it holds up over time.

Nessism-Did you use their "Plug N' Plate® Brush Plating System
with the little wand thingy? Did you take the linkage apart or clean it and do it as is? That is such a professional touch to carb rebuilding! I love it! I'm doing a total restoration and think I have to do something like that!

Using the Copy Cad/Zinc plating kit with "brightener" to makes it shinny. To clean corrosion I bead blast followed by buffing with a fine grade wire wheel. I think the durability of the zinc should be good but the yellow chromate after-dip is a little fragile.

I have to say this thread really
inspired me. so after looking at all these nice carbs I decided to do something with my old carbs. One of the few things I have not changed on my bike. So I went down in my workshop and moddified the covers on the top of my carbs. I know this was no paint job but as I said this thread inspired me. I just removed the outher covers of the carbs and did this facemilled and then engraved. And some polishing and back again. I think it was kind of cool detail.

Very cool! That would be hard to see, on my bike, but done on the two outer carb bowls, it would rock.

                  Tony.

Yes I only did it on the two outher carbs. I think its kind of cool to make parts like this. They don't scream against you. It's a detail that only will be discovered by people that study the bike.

Here's a bit of an update on my buddy Bruce's handywork. These re-built, polished and painted black beauties look awesome on my bike. Thanks Bruce.

Don't look at the rest of the bike please. She's FILTHY! I'm so ashamed of myself. I will suffer a self-imposed banishment to the garage until I get every inch of her spit shined!
