Engine Painting

[1982 GS750 EZ]

GSR is an excellent site, I have learned alot......

A quick question

I have a 1982 GS750 EZ that I am cleaning up, thinking I might paint the cylinder block black. Do you think it looks better to paint the head as well, or just do the cylinder block. The pipes are already black, and the base color is black, too much maybe?

I say JUST do the block only. I have an all black motor, and don't like it on my black GS. The paint job was from the prior owner, and is a sucky job-so maybe that's part of my distaste.

I've just done mine like this:
I plan to scour the fin edges back to silver on the head. Not much there really if you just do the cylinder block in black.
