These bikes suit cafe well IMHO. And not hard to do. Seat, rear fender and clip-ons and you're about there. Muffler and pods already done.

      Drag bars

Look great I'm working on my gs550lx. Doing the same conversion. Drag bars went on last weekend. I notice you lowered the front end. How does it handle, now? This is next on my list.

You certainly don't have far to go for a cafe style. If I were going to go that route with your bike I wouldn't chop off that rear fender, but I would change the seat. That chrome rear fender is very reminiscent of older british bikes. Just throw a flat seat on there with perhaps a little cowl in the rear.

I think your biggest hurdle would be the tank. The teardrop L style tank isn't quite right.

Drag bar isn't that out of sync, but clubmans would go nicely. Also, think about shortening the front fender.

Anyway, I like the look with the drag bar.

My thoughts exactly, but I could live with the tank

Thanks for the replies .........Im in the market for a cafe style seat, I would love to try and make my own like some have done here (which look great by the way), but time is a killer...........so any input on seats of that style are appreciated

I do like the chrome rear fender, but I think it will have to go if I convert over......

As far as the tank goes, I would love to swap for something longer...( Did I say that out loud LOL) and more sporty looking......

The pods and the pipe work great, they accent the wiseco 836 kit nicely LOL.......I have the get up and go, just have to capture the "LOOK" Im after.........

This is what you are looking for. One just like it was my first bike, too, though this one has the rear fender, mine didn't
