Ive had this bike since i was 19 and im 25 now the main goal is cutting weight
making fabricating and removing steel parts to aluminum parts most ive had to make. Im going for something like yoshimura gs700 style of race bike. Im sorry i dont have the pictures when i first started.

i guess its not all about cutting weight im trying to get over the 150mph range or higher
so performace is important too, along with some custom designs like this engine cover I dremeld and put red leds behind the cover.

i drilled all the brake banjo bolts like moto gp style for safety wire. I got the inspiration
while in england at the bringinngham moto gp race in 06. the fork (wind deflector) was part of an exhaust panel trim on a 04 honda cbr600rr, i dont know if ill keep them it makes the bike look like a transformer. also all the turnsignals are from a 600rr.

You got some work going there! I have to say, I'll be interested to see if you can actually atain 150mph on that bike. I CANT on my 1100 (stock aside from pipe and pods, and im not a light dude either) I hate to say, i just dont think she has the power chief, but good luck!!

thanks glad u like , well i raced a eclipse gst (turbo) , and i was stock before i started any
work on it and i was holding 140-45 give or take (dont know how accurate the spedo is but it held that speed and you could'nt give it anymore there was just no more power. i will be taking a video soon either on here or a link to you tube.

I dragraced mine for six full seasons and the best mph in the 1/4 was 112. You'll have to do some major mods to that motor before it will do 150.

The speedometers on these bikes are usually wildly optomistic at top speed. I doubt that engine would be capable of much more than 120 mph without quite a bit of work. Like cafe kid said, even the 1100E wont break 150 stock. Lightening and gearing wont do it alone. Going to taller gearing can actually LOWER your top speed if the ratio is just too tall for the motor to push. I dropped a couple teeth on my old 650 Kaw and actually lost a couple mph. Motor just couldn't handle the gearing.

The biggest weight loss you can get is replacing the stock wheels with those that can fit radials and I don't see that on your list. You can then fit wider tires while reducing weight without compromising stability.

IMHO you can forget 150 without a turbo, that's pushing a LOT of air and you'll need 120+ hp. The key is pushing air. Without some fairing it's hard to get over 150 - period. My ZRX1200 has done it, but again it has much more motor.

I'm with this guy ^^^ You'll shave many pounds simply by doing a front end swap with a newer USD GSXR. The wheels and forks are really heavy on the old EF's.
                              Current:
Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha )

                              Past:
                              VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
And a bunch of other crap Yamahas....
