Cleaned up my swingarm (getting ready to install)

I got around to cleaning up the aluminium swingarm I picked up from (knowyourenemy66)......It was a little rough around the edges, but nothing some elbow grease wouldn't fix......

I scrubbed and scrubbed washed and scrubbed some more....Alot of degreaser, and ummmmm SCRUBBED some more....scuffed it good, Hit it with a few coats of primer.....then laid 6 coats of the color I liked...(Its a grey/silver engine enamel).....then added my decals, and hit it with 4 coats of clear.....

I like how it looks.Ive seen alot better on here, but figure I would share......Sorry for the shotty cam phone pics.....Oh yeah, How you guys like the use of that old craftsman push mower as a leaning post LOL

        Yes, very nice!

But, you know what wheels you have set in motion now don't you?

It all starts with bringing back one little piece to showroom quality, then the little piece next to it just doen't look right, then the next thing you know the bike is in 1000 pieces.....

        Looks great.

Yup I know its a viscous cycle LOL...But only as far as the wallet is willing (or able ) to open .......All In good time I guess......Yeah 1000 pieces when you tear it down, and you only end up using 935 when it goes back together LOL ....

Here are a couple of quick pics of it installed.....Thats my kid brother holding it up.....The stinker has a 1974 cb360 6spd with like 11k original miles.....He is in the process of gathering some cafe parts.....I say leave it it runs mint and is super clean, but its his scoot.....to each his own I guess......

Nice very nice. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one working outdoors, it sucks trying to sand and prime in the heat out side. I gotta get my dad to let me paint my tank and side plates in his garage. Nothing like putting on a nice I thought last coat of primer sealer on the tank, I came back and a small bug landed in it and made swim marks down the side about an inch long.
Pulled out my pistol and started to shoot the little thing and thought I better not, I will just mess up the primer.

                Looks good.
What is the swingarm from and how much longer is it than the stock one?

That decal to me say's "Thrush Muffler".

Is that right or am I having a flashback to something?

The swingarm looks to be off of an 1100E.

You are so close its not even funny LOL......Actually its a Mr.Horsepower decal........The main difference is the cigar in the mouth.

Mr.Horsepower I think started in the 30's or 40's.....with Clay Smith, hand grinding performance cams.......( I just think its a kick ass logo)

So yeah, its kind of a throwback in time.......

As for the swingarm, yes its from an 1100E. To be honest I dont think its longer then stock, If it is its very little.( I didnt actually measure) I suspect the bike would sit lower if it was longer, It feels about the same to me.

I will say the 110 arm is a Butt load lighter then the stock arm though......Thanks for the compliments guys....
