I was browsing through some of the articles on Cliff's site, and noticed in his write-up for installing fork springs, that he had to remove a cover on his bars. Was this a universal piece? If so, where can I find them?

NOS not available for most models, they pop up on ebay from time to time, but I never found one in good enough shape to be worth the money and now decided I don't even want one. -
I just picked up on for the '83 GS1100ES in the Box O' Handlebar Pads at Cycle Recycle II. There are many from all kinds of makes and models. Normally they're $5, he gave me this one because I was buying some other stuff. Many of them are rough, some of them are really nice.
Mine essentially looks NOS now that the dust is washed off it.sigpic
