Anyone tried Chrome paint by Dupli-Color

My front fender is a little faded on top, and was thinking of touching it up with this paint. Cheap alternative to getting it re-chromed.

It won't be perfect, but it does work. You will see the area that you spray- it looks duller than real chrome.

I would find someting to test it on first. If you like it , sand down the entire fender and paint the whole thing. My experience with touch ups is they end up looking worse than the old look, or like you tried to put a band-aid on it.

Yeah, this is what I was thinking. Just wondering if it looked anything close to chrome.

I use it here and there. Works great for touch-ups, but I'd say nothing bigger than a small spot. Where it worked great for me was on my brake pedal on my 1000. The pad was a bit rusty, so a buffed it with a wire brush and shot it. Looks brand new.

Depending on how the rest of the fender looks, (this is gonna sound a lil strange) used some steel wool, windex, soft/terry/micro fiber towels, and some chrome polish. I used the steel wool and windex to take the rust off my pipes, wiped it down dry, then polished them up. It looks a whole lot better than it did.
