Not familiar with this frame and engine really, but will the engine be able to be installed with the top end, or will the top end need to be built up after?

I know the 83-85' 700/750 frame is different, but from pulling the engine on the 700 with top end assembled the front bracing would be an issue.

Just wouldn't want to build up the top end, and have to break it back down to install the engine. It would be easier to build up the top end afterwards assuming the cylinder and head will clear.
I haven't tried yet (engine still off the bike), but visually looking at it, shouldn't be a problem. The gussets don't come as far down as the tank does (on the sides) and I could see daylight above my engine with the tank on. It may be tight, but it will go. There is a problem though and it's tank fitment (at least on the 1000G). I had to do a fair bit of denting inwards with a peening hammer on the tank to get it to fit over the gussets on the head. Also the battery box has to be removed and moved back about two inches for the cross members behind the engine. Promised several times, but swear a full pictorial coming.

Your frame looks like there will be plenty of room.

It was Suzukfan78's frame I was looking at with the 2 tube braces at the front.

Anyway, I have been reading up on this subject some to get an idea of what it will take on an 700-1100 conversion possibly later down the road.

      We like pics.

That's why I used gussets on the steering head instead of tubes, no way tank would have EVER gone over tubes. I welded in gussets, then took a peening hammer and gave them a bit of inward curve.
