nvr2old, do you have more details, pic's etc.? I know it's not a GS but it's good inspiration for what I want...

Thanks for the interest, Pete. I always hesitate to post pics of my Hondas on this site, but this thread seems to be open to it. Here's a few more.

Modified Airtech Matchless tail section. I lengthened the seat pan, formed the shock blisters and added a Suzuki Hayabusa tail light. I also made the seat, starting with the stock foam. Smoothed and molded frame. Hand made exhaust starting with a Honda CB1100F header pipe a modified old JC Whitney Triumph-style muffler. 4 inches was removed from the center of the front fender and welded back together. Honda CR250 rear shocks. Napa roll bar/off road running light for the head light. I also (since these pics) added a bracket to hang the license plate off the rear, a CB500 speedo, and small 2" bar end mirrors.

        scrambler.........

if you go to the xs650 club site... especially perhaps holland they are nutters about scramblers in 650 twins ..and perhaps a gr650 would make a great base for a scrambler or flat tracker.....hope this helps regards david

Thanks nvr2old, that's just impressive and I'll bet it's a hoot to ride.

I'm looking forward to getting something done with my 450 and if it's even half as good as that I'll be happy

Anyway, enough high jacking the original thread from me...

I'm thinking this is strictly a dirt only gs750
A heavily modified Suzuki GS 750 climbs the hill at the Rock River Riders Hillclimbs on 10/29/06.
