Painting Handlebars???
Something seems not safe about this idea. I saw a bike just like mine today with Black superbike bars and thought that would look good. Any feed back would be appreciated.Tags: None

I just had some bars powdercoated gloss black. It cost $30 and this included media blasting. You could also paint them if you wanted to. I can't think of any reason why painted bars would be a safety issue.

Not sure why painted bars wouldnt be safe. If you wanted to do them yourself, Id suggest using a self etching primer first to get a good bond to the steel. If the bars are chromed, sanding with a course to fine metal sand paper first will be the thing to do.
