Good idea, the mids will save the wear and tear on your back. Highway pegs are ok for stretching out on long rides. I have no highway pegs or forwards on my bobber, glad i never went that way

I actually liked the red/black paint better.. built the bike, sold it.. bought it back and had to paint it because everbody askd me why i was riding the other guys bike.. even though it was mine first. (He rode it a LOT). If you click the other pic's they will blow up to a larger size

That was right after it was built a few years ago. I think that pic was posted on bobbertown by a friend of mine. Thanks for the compliments. I think you did a GREAT job with yours..

Quick question, as I know a few guys building GS750's and bigger GS's and everyone asks about tanks.

What year and model tank is on that bike! Ive had a hell of a time coming up with a tank that fits the triple backbone and most guys are just cuttin the whole nine yards out and building a single. Thanks for your time Bud. Least I finally found out who built it!

P.S. that pick has made the rounds. I think I got it off of a google search. I might be stealing your paint layout too!

Hey get it as far as paint design.. check out some of the old style designs her for some ideas http://www.craig.howell.net/legend06/index66.htm.. The gas tank is a stock 750 tank with a high, wide tunnel to clear the wide backbone. If i had to do over, i would put a single bar backbone for more tank capacity and ease of tank building.. The buells in the background are mine with the red skins and my best friends taken in 2003. Still have the buell and the red red skins , just swapped them out for black. Like the 750 bobber, black.

Yep, cuttin the backbone seems to be the way to go. Thats what I've been telling people anyways. Hindsight, I should have cut mine out from the get-go. Ill check the paint layouts out. Ive got so much black going on, I gotta bust it up somehow or another.

Thanks for the info though and thanks for the build ya did. Sure influenced my build!

Yup replacing the backbone makes the rest of the work go so much easier.
