    With Decals or without

I can't decide if a "de-badged" paint job looks cool or just unfinished....

    What do you lot think?

unless it's REALLY nice paint.. I need something. Flames, decals, emblems, something.

Entirely depends on the paint job. One solid colour? Two-tone?
I personally like the look of stock paint and badging/decals with alterations made to the bike itself.

This is my 1979 gs850. I just painted it on thursday. I had a local body shop close up the emblem brackets. What do you guys think?

I like the stock look with badges and pinstripes hard to improve on the original, but that's just me.

I repainted the 1100E's tank a few years ago and leaded in the badges and put on a Hyabusa gas cap. It's painted solid black and looks pretty decent I think although a little bland. I'm going to repaint the entire bike a different color scheme later this year though. I haven't decided what colors just yet.

So, to shorten a long story - it's all in what you like.

the paint on Mike Ski's bike looks great, just need something in there to break up the tank imo. I talked to a local tattoo shop owner who does some killer airbrushing. He said he'd put whatever I want on my tank for me. He was SUPER helpful. He sells shirts for $15 or 20 that are white with a tie that he air brushed on that has skulls on it. I will see if I can get pics of his stuff to post on here. Don't want to hijack the thread, just adding ideas.

My 750L was de-badged by the PO. There is nothing on it that says suzuki. Most people can't figure out what kind of bike it is. I don't mind because its a great conversation starter. It's entirely up to you.

                    emblems

Obviously your' call, My preference is "with", Even with "racing stripes" or "pin stripes" effect usually seems "incomplete" sans emblems. just my 2 cents. G

I think i like it better without, but i must admit that it is taking a little away from it's original beauty.

Purely a matter of personal opinion. Mine came to me with blue metalflake paint sans badges and it looks good IMO. However, I have since ordered the Suzuki badge for both sides of the tank and am going to stick them on after re-painting. Repaint is needed after some jackass (me) scratched the tank while removing a failed liner last spring. Some days it just sucks to be me.
