rain rain.
Well I was able to get a little more done to the 1150 today. I removed the old 630 chain and the 5/8" inch offset front 630 sprocket. I installed the matching GSXR 5.5" inch wide wheel with the new 180/55-17 tire. Got everything lined up. had to do some fabing to make the brake arm for the GSXR rear brake caliper to work. The GS had a braided line on it when I got it. The old caliper was mounted on top the GSXR is mounted on the bottom so the brake line is not long enough now that it has to go to the bottom. But I have a few extra ones. I used a 17 tooth front and a 45 tooth rear with a EK 530 DRZ2 chain. The bike is 65" inch wheelbase. I still have not mounted the boost gauge or been able to bleed the brakes. hopefully a test ride by Wed. Here is pic today. Rain all day so I rode the couch mostly.

I like what your doing, I have done two of these projects (GS 1100 and 1150) just recently. That is an OLD Mr Turbo kit I have not seen a banana pipe like that in 20 years, Looks great.Keep the fairing, look at my avatar.

I just read your whole thread, and this was a really cool bike before you started! Its even better though with what you have done now!!
My opinion is that you use two front rotors... Is the weight savings really worth the lose of brakes? You do ride this bike on the street still right?
Also, my other opinion is that you take off the fairing and make it an E! I just made my bike naked, and it looks so much better!! In my opinion that is.
I will be watching this thread. I plan to do a very similar wheel and front end swap eventually.

pipe
I think the Banana pipe is worth more than the turbo kit You would not believe the people that want to buy just the pipe. I do have a short dump pipe for it but it is just cool with the full pipe and it is so quite. under boost it hardly makes any noise. It is much quiter than a bike with a header. Plus for some reason all the young guys on the newer bikes think it's some kind of aftermarket header. If I took the Mr Turbo logo heat shield off of it they might not think it was a turbo at all. Untill I fly by them in the 1/4 mile. As far the front brakes go I am thinking that the one GSXR brake is as strong as the two old GS brakes were. I might go ahead and put the other one on but I will try it like it is. I do have the E complete headlight assy. So it would be no big deal to convert the bike but the faring is growing on me. Now that it sits low it looks a lot better. Again I can change it at anytime. Lets do a recap. From this
To this
Now I know most of you are thinking whats wrong with the way it was.... Well nothing really other than it had front forks that felt like Pogo sticks and I hated the 18" inch rear rim and the 16" inch front rim. Plus now it has better brakes, an endless selection of tires and way better Susp. Remember this bike can make 311 rear wheel H.P. so it needs modern rubber. Time to bleed the brakes.

brakes
Well I got home from work late because I had to work over. next Model year change over and this year we are getting started on the next Gen M-Class. Anyway I was able to install the rear brake line and bleed the GSXR rear brake with little to no problem. it only took just a minute. Then the front brake...... I installed the line, pulled fluid down to the caliper but could not get it to pump up. After working on that for over an hour I said to heck with it and replaced the brake line with another one I had. The other line must have had a pin hole I guess. the new line pumped right up and now it has front and rear GSXR brakes. I put the new oilcooler lines on and routed them away from the header as far as possible. But ran out of time and did not get to mount the boost gauge or do the last couple of small things it needs. I need two good hours to be done. No track time tomorrow night. so I guess I will have to street test it on the backroads. I am planning on taking it to Miss. for the big dragracing event on the 17th of Oct. It is in Hattiesburg, MS. It's a big all bike race. hopefully I will be able to take it out soon. Stay tuned for pics.

Pretty much how it's going to look
Well I can finally say I think the 1150 will be good to go. I still need to give it a good cleaning. Ride is 10 times better. brakes even though I used one in the front stop way better than the stock brakes. Handling is better, It's just an all around better bike to ride now. a couple of quick lanches on the back roads and it goes strait as an arrow. So here are a few finished pics for now. I am going to take the centerstand off for this weekends big bike event in MS. What about the ES faring??? Like it or loose it?
