this has gone very far offtopic. but anyways some guy just came back took a look at the bike and offered my father 800. he is so upset/mad at the low balls that we decided to take it off craigslist and start to fix her up to running condition.

axonz,
don't mind the conservative members. there's been too many instances on the GSR where idiots have a fleeting thought to chop/cafe/customize and take a hacksaw to the subframe without thinking of the consequential dumbass factor, loss in resale value/frame rigidity, ruining a perfectly good bike forever. Don't be That Guy, give some thought and plan what you're gonna do with that bike.
-Write out a list of ideas and stick to them, don't try to do everything-a temptation we're all susceptible to.
-Propose a budget and multiply that number by two, because that's what you'll end up putting into it.
A lot of guys would be grateful to have that kind of bike in that condition. Forget what they say about age, I'm 20 and I consider my project a learning experience. Good luck and keep us posted.

I 'slammed'(lol) mine and had to go back.. Ridability went out the window with the lowered stance.
If it were a sportbike or a dirtbike I wouldnt mind the gapping hole between the rear tire and fender.sigpic
