easy way to clean grungy carbs and engines

the engine and carbs (especially the carbs) on my 82 gs 850 is in need of a good cleaning due to poor care by previous owner. i found this link on another forum and thought it would be a good way to go. nice before and after pix.

Very cool, thanks! Do let us know how you make out with the 850 carbs, when you try it.

That's cool.. I bought that air gun at the HF sidewalk sale for $2 last week.

Should make short work of cleaning the frame for the GS1000 carb rack.

It did one superfine job on those carburetors!

I quite like the page on a single-wheel trailer:

Makes me think i could fab up a bicycle-carrying trailer like that for my car. Hmmm....

Next time I'd go with the harbor fright gun, I spent a while trying to make this one work, not so good. I need a helper to keep the soda feeding correctly, it does not have a lot of power, takes paint off only very slowly. Maybe OK for some tiny things, not really very good overall.
