I have a few questions:
1. I was looking at Smiths replica gauges on ebay but have not found a replica tach. Has anyone seen any tacks that have the look of the one pictured that can be adapted for a GS1000?
2a. I dont really want to use a traditional speedo. I would like to use something digital like what is pictured so I can put the idiot lights under it in a straight like sort of where the one indicator light is pictured. Any ideas of speed meters that would work?
2b. I would also like to find out what options are out there for traditional speedo's as well. I REALLY like the classic look of Smiths gauges but not 100% sure If I can get a replica to work. I know our ratio is 1:4 but the Replicas on ebay also come with a steel hub drive. I assume that this is what houses the gears for the "ratio" If I adapt this to work, would I be able to run one of these gauges?

3. Has anyone successfully machined a "plain/flat" upper triple for their bike? Im running clip ons with a stock front end so i would like to clean up the upper triple if possible. I know most modern sport bike (GSXR's in particular) use a flat top upper triple but Im assuming one from a GSXR wouldnt work on my bike because Im running stock forks (37mm for those who dont know) Anyone have ideas for this too?
