'84 GS1150 ES streetfighter (photos included)

Hey I figured I would post some pics of my project up in case any of you care to look. It's not done by far and probably won't be for a while so dont expect weekly updates lol.

First I removed pretty much everything on the subframe, the swingarm and forks...replaced the swingarm and forks with those of a '91 GSXR1100

Chopped off everything on the frame from the tank back...

Unfortunately, apart from this photoshopped pic that's all I have done to it so far. I plan to replace the clip-on handles with risers and renthal dirt bike style bars and I'm fabbing the seat and subframe myself...still lots to do but I'll get there.

I'm hoping that pic gives you guys a better idea of my plan...till the next bit of work...

K so I picked up a set of MCS 7/8" handle bars today...gonna start machining some risers for them, hopefully they will be done at some time tonight.

When I first looked at your new post, there was the famous "image deleted by photobucket" message, and looking, your post was made today. I dont know why photobucket is being used by people when there are much better alternatives out there.

Yeah sorry that was my fault actually...not photobucket lol...I moved the images into a different album after posting without realizing it would delete them off my post...but I rectified said situation...

Oh and I have no idea how she steers yet lol...I have a funny feeling it's only gonna want to go straight...

Looks promising. What do you have in mind for the subframe and rear end?

For the ass end...I just gonna relocate the shock mounts on the frame as I believe they need to be moved up a bit. I welded in a second cross member to the frame just above where the shock and engine mounts are for the lower brace of the sub frame...I'm just gonna go for a simple triangular shape to keep things simple and stay with the angles of the rest of the bike...not sure about the seat and lights as well as battery box yet though.

Well I got to work on my bar risers today...still not done but I figured I would post some pics of the progress anyways...still have to drill all the holes and cut the top a bit but other than that you get the idea...

Not bad for a guy who has never used a milling machine huh.
