Anyone paint their plastic MC reservoir?

Has anyone ever painted their rectangular, white-plastic front brake MC reservoir?

Mine's pretty scratched & stained up (although very usable) & I thought I might just paint it black.

What paint would be the best choice?? Does caliper paint stick to plastic? Can I bake the plastic piece at 200F without damaging it??

If you paint it , you will not be able to view the level of fluid in the M/C if it's the one I am thinking of.

It's not such a far fetched idea. Depending on the plastic, the melting point can be as high as 640 degrees Fahrenheit. Just look at PTFE, otherwise known as Teflon.

Just asking - my guess is the reservoirs are made from either nylon (melts at >350F) or polyproplene (melts at around 210F).

Either way, paint isn't going to stick...

I'll try polishing it with some fine grit & see if that makes any difference.
