I got an allen head set from Z1 Enterprises for my '79 GS850GN and everything I needed was there. No need for impact driver,,,a definite plus!

Bead blasting is a great way to start but I'd disassemble everything first. Used to use aluminum oxide as well before Kalguarding motors. Never polished anything after blasting but it does give a very even fine matte finish.Beadblasting was even a great way to remove gasket material, ended up with a better gasket surface as well ... NOT head gaskets!!unless you're prepared to mill them after.

        Soda Blaster

Here is a link to a how to on making an inexpensive soda blaster, this has worked well for me cleaning parts in the past on other resto's. Best part is it's biodegradable and washes clean in seconds.

        Thanks all
