    Caliper Paint Primer?

Anyone have an recommendations? I've got some VHT Satin Black Caliper Paint that I'm going to attempt to paint the calipers with. I notice the VHT website recommends one of their engine primers to go underneath the caliper paint. Not much of a problem, except I don't know if my little computer case heat box can attain the 650 degrees needed for the final curing. Or the 400 for the second curing. The 250 degree initial, I should be ok on. I imagine that the 1800 degree Flameproof primer probably goes a long way towards longevity for the caliper paint, but is it really necessary?

the primer bonds to the metal the paint dosent it bonds to the primer

I would use regular self-etching primer. VHT and Duplicolor both make it.

you dont need vht paint on calipers. just prep them well and use regular spray paint, or i used enamel spray paint. no curing needed, lasts for years and is resistant to brake fluid
