    GS oil cooler guard

Fabbed this up for PJ's oil cooler for his GS 1000 a few weeks back, if anyone is interested in one let me know. I can pretty much do them in any size or shape. They can be mounted with zip ties or pressed between the factory hardware like this one.

That looks fantastic! When it's time to install an oil cooler, you'll get my business. Mounting hardware is exactly how I'd like to do it.

Can I ask where you got the brackets? Did you paint the perforated metal yourself, or did it come like that?

The cooler is not mine, but the brackets came with the cooler. I believe it is AN Plumbing brand. I have the perforated metal in bulk, it comes milled smooth, it is primed and then painted with two coats of engine enamel. I also have the edging in bulk.

Hey Joe, Id like to have one of those for a stock 1150 cooler set up. You need pics or dimensions or anything? And how much would it run?

            Pretty slick there Joe.

I don't know how long it took me to straighten out the fragile cooler fins on my cooler. In doing so it did make me think of those times riding down the road, and you see that piece of "pea gravel" bouncing towards you in slow-mo.

            Bumble bees and cicadas.........................

I know where a many have hit.

Looks like good insurance to me.

Thanks Paul, couldn't remember the brand and my photos were not clear enough.

Nope, the starter clutch on the GS went south so I wound up taking the FZ1 out instead.

Hopefully will have the cooler and screen on the bike soon for pix once I get the starter clutch fixed.

Hey, that looks like a blast! Do they have an on-track photographer you can just buy pics from, or did you have to bring your own?

Finally got this thing done, started with a very thin coat of matte black engine enamel..

Attached the guard with zip ties..
