Can anyone tell me whether a a 1980 GS850G frame is the same as a same year GS1000G Frame?

Hi,
Yes, same frame. Both the GS850GT and GS1000GT frame part numbers are 41100-45101-019.

I have developed a bit of a addiction for these bikes I have 2 complete gs1000g's( needing restoration) a gs1100g (damaged) and various parts for another whole gs1000g. Just love these bikes.

They absolutely are the same. My bike is an 80 GS1000G engine in an 80 GS850G frame.

82 Suzuki GS850GL Bought it 3 times, sold it twice, then traded for a nice 82 GS1100G AND a 93 Honda 750 Nighthawk, even WOW!
