    pickign handlebars

    ok i have a 1980 gs100gl

really getting tired of the wheel barrow look, what are some good options?

would like to move forward, and down quite a bit.

which ones will fit? and which ones will work with the factory controls?

kind like the street fighter look... or at least trying to shoot for that look...

    -thanks

got the motocross dirtbike bars on my 82 GS650g.....love em.

I couldn't decide between the 2 1/2 inch rise bars or drag bars.
And my local shop only had motocross bars in stock, and they were actually a perfect mix between the two.

One warning though, you'll probably have to adjust your throttle cable since your changing the slack, and these cables don't really like movement of any kind, lol, so when you turn you're wheel, the RPM's go up or down, haha.
All you do is just adjust the 2 lock nuts on the cable, one on the bottom and one on top.....that'll fix it.

Also, might have to adjust clutch nut too.

          Greetings and Salutations!!

          Hi Mr. DM8761,

Many members have swapped their "buckhorn" bars for either Daytona bend or Superbike bars. Any bar with 7/8" diameter will fit. With shorter bars you will have to re-route the cables unless you buy shorter ones. Welcome to the forum.

I just stopped by to welcome you to the forum in my own, special way.
