Why not contact Pit Replica (via one of their ebay auctions) and ask if they have an 1100E reproduction cover? I read a good review on another board a while ago...IIRC they even heat-press that cover, to get the proper segmented factory look. The deal back then, was that they offered a free (or near-free) cover if they didn't have the one requested, and required the customer to mail them an old cover to copy, in Bangkok, Thailand.
I thought I had bookmarked the store link, but can't seem to find it now. At some point, I'll probably be in the market for a cover too....can't believe I put 45,000 km on the bike and those seams haven't as yet split.
Check this out & let us know how it goes, if/when you contact them.

I've recovered mine a couple of times using marine grade vinyl. Marine grade is softer and has a good bit of stretch to it so it covers contours without much hassle. It usually stretches more in one direction than the other. A little heat will help with stubborn contours.

Sent them a message, Mysuzyq. I will keep the thread updated with any and all replies from those I attempted to contact. Thanks.

I'm in for one, and there are probably more 1100EZ/ED/ESD owners in the market, since the seam-splitting issue appears inevitable.

Update
Heard back from Moretti. He does not currently make one, but he wants some pics so he could tool up for it. I responded to verify what pics, dimemsions, etc. he would require, and I will send them when he lets me know. He said it would be around 50 pounds plus shipping.

Those look more stock than anything I have seen here.

This is a must for all 1100E owners on the Forum. Count me in for two covers each for my '80ET and '82EZ. My seats are mint today but they're not going to last forever and it would be great to have repro originals.

Thanks for the posts, bmac, but the 1100E seat is a unique animal, only on the Es and only 82-83.
Moretti replied "I do make a cover for your model but it is not a cover that I am proud of, the one I make is a poor copy of the original and really would only advise anyone to buy one if they are really desperate.
Will look at the cover again and see if it would be worth upgrading it, but as I have only sold two of these in about 10 years it really is not viable, But guess things can change, will get back to you next week."
I responded that I could probably generate more interest, we'll see.
I just sent an email to the other eBay company, seems I am having to go through a couple of folk to get to the manufacturer, who does not currently make one and whose eBay pics do not show the actual seat cover for any of their products. We'll see how that goes.

I have what I believe to be a BH seat cover on the "extra" 1000G (long story). Anyway, it is very high quality, and the vinyl is thicker than stock. It doesn't match the stocker, but it is still very nice:
Picked the entire seat up just as you see it at Cycle Recycle II for $60. By the way, the lines on the vinyl are hot pressed, not stitched.sigpic

I thought B&H covers were sewn, not hot pressed (I could be wrong though).Ed
