    Dream paint job....

    Hi all,

Im planning to get my tank, side panels and tail section painted between now and new year all going well cash wise.

I want to keep it kind of retro without any crazy airbrushing etc.
I look of my tank now, but I think there is nicer out there that could be done to it.

What would be your dream paint job on a GS? Maybe you have it already!

I saw a yellow and black one on here somewhere and loved the look of it.

    What would you go for?

I have been contemplating the same thing(paint job).Stock appearance or something unique? Not radical but different.Tough to decide.

Dont let flashy pretty paint take away from the fine lines of the bike.
        Black with a matt clear.

I got the visualization for mine....

And that green may be done with an Anodized Metal look if the Duplicolor rattle can experiment works.

This isn't exactly a wonderful job with the GIMP, but you can get the idea of what I'm contemplating...

I would be adding the Suzuki emblems back on also... and probably a deeper blue than that too...

Then again I may not do that at all

Anyone know who owns that yeelow and black bike?
I saw it on here somewhere last week and now I cant find it for a 2nd look.....

I agree. For this type of bike keep it simple and as retro as you can. If you you went over board with paint and airbrushing it would really take from the bike.

I think this is the bike your talking about. Pretty sure it belongs to nutsandbolts

Here is the link to the other thread you may be looking for.

I always liked Terry Bochert's 750's paint scheme.

Ever since I built scalemodels as a kid (and in recent years) I've always loved the look of grey primer. Something about it just brings out the best in things. I almost don't want to paint my bike.

Nah, but seriously, it'll get painted in the GS1000S colors and get a nice black seat.

We had my wife's bike painted several years ago. Not sure I would call it a "dream" job, but it's what she wanted.

New colors in basically the stock pattern, then added some pinstriping to make it hers.

I saw one when I was in Flori-duh that was just that.

Even had the obligatory "cafe stripe" on the tank.

I really like Terrys 750 in the link below!
Nice idea to match the heal plates. Though I think I will leave my front wheel fender chrome...

Im with you. I love silver/gray. So much in fact that I painted my last job Plymouth Prowler Silver(B/C, C/C). Hard color to apply but very sweet.

I think you just like the primer because it goes with the duct tape.
