                clear coat

I used spray max 2k it was recommend by others on this forum. I just went down to my local auto paint supplier, they order it, and I got it in one day.
SprayMax now offers a 2 part (2K) Urethane Aerosol Clear Coat. This 2k urethane Clear Coat spray has a much higher U.V. and weather resistance than any standard aerosol clearcoat on the market today.

Nice work, I can't wait to see your bike after the install. Maybe you could show a few before and after pictures.

I think it is the quality of the paint that is ususally the issue. If you dont have the equipment, this is certainly a much easier solution.

Sparky, Let us know how the clear holds up.

Am I missing the part where gas will not dissolve right through the clear and paint??

Don't spill gas on the paint.

Haha it was meant as a bit of a joke . But i've found if you shake the pump nozzle out on the ground before you start pumping it you can get the fuel out of the nozzle. This and stopping your fill care fully can greatly reduce the chance of spilling on the tank. I guess I thought this was common knowledge
