    An fellow bike enthusiast has dropped off the top and bottom brackets so I can copy them.
    Not much to them.
    I might make a few sets more as it seems that there is no stock anymore and they have been sold out at Suzuki!

      I'd be interested in a set of the top brackets . Mine have been bent in the past and PO tried to straighten them but now they are mangled beyond straightening . My fairing sits low on the right side so I have to take it off to top up brake fluid etc.

      Cheers , Simon .

        I would certainly be interested in a set.

          made a set and are on the bike, simple when you have a set to copy!
          Here is how i made them;
          Went to Bunnings Hardware and spotted a Handrail bracket EB50 Carinya maufactured in satin black. $9.00 each.
          They have the right diameter and curve plus the overall lenth is also spot on.
          cut of the rail mount and welded it sideways on in the correct angle and machined one hole out by 6mm towards the outside for fairing/mirror attachments.
          RG500 mirrors do fit perfectly by the way.
          Cut off wall plate and cut a quarter of the plate, drilled it out to 8mm and welded it on lengthways (for front fork top yoke) then shaped it with a lapping disk smooth.
          After succesfull trail fitting sanded and painted it.
          Bottom brackets;
          Made a patern from cardboard, left and right hand is the same patern upside down, cut it out, cut out from a 2mm bit of metal plate drilled the two 6- and 2 8mm holes and bended it up, one for left hand and one for righthand.
          Did not bother with welding nuts on, discarded a washer and used the nut plate (Bottom 2 bolt yoke) that was on the bike.
          Drilled the holes after fairing was in correct place and used a bolt and nut with washers to fasten the bottom brackets to the bottom of the fairing.
          simple and cost effective, $16 + a small bit of 2 mm metal plate and 3 hours to do it all.
          Realy this is the nice part of restoring a bike instead of just throwing bundles of $$ for new parts at it.
          When you have to you have to.
          Good luck, hope it helps getting your bike back into shape!
          Also made new aluminium sleeves for the RG500 bottom exhaust cans while I was busy with the mill drill, worked out perfect.
          Today I will polish and fit these.
          Bought a 6 mtr lenght of extruded aluminium tube of the correct diameter and went from there, instead of spending $400 for some (reasonable second hand?) end cans!

            Tank with dent pulled out and in primer.
            Seems that the cowling fits rather well on a 1980 G shafty.
            Now I am in "desperate" need for the two side covers that are missing to finnish the painting!

                Well I had a bit of an idea seeing the real Wes Cooley /Pop Yoshimura bike with the side #34.
                Got some aloy plate and hobbied away with this as a trial.
                want to make the bottom point smooth and I will try to do a mock up paintscheme of my idea.

                  Crap execution, but one could get an idea what I am on about.

                  Numberplate and sidecover all in one, nice and civilised.
                  Let me know what you think!

                    Got a new generic master brake cylinder and it did not fit, due to narrow handle bars I choose, Still had a Nissin remote reservoir one laying around with the correct fit.
                    Made a small bracket to mount reservior inside the cowling and using the brackets, tightish fit, but it works!
                    Next, tomorow, bleeding the brakes.
