Potential Seat Mod
I need some thoughts on this idea? I have a old memory foam mattress topper and I was thinking of pulling the seat cover off mine and cutting the foam down and replacing it with and inch or 2 of memory foam. What do you think?Tags: None

By itself, it won't be firm enough. If you were to put it over a firmer foam base it might be fine but I think that stuff is pretty "squishy" and will flatten down a lot under prolonged compression. A better product might be a "jell" insert.
Some auto stores carry jell seat pads that are not too expensive and can be cut down to fit. They usually have a "waffle" type construction and thus offer a bit more support.
The only way to know is to try it , of course.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Pics also would be helpful if you do it.
Cheers,

Well my thing is that my seat is in good condition so I dont want to cut at it willy nilly. SO maybe I will leave it alone until I get to put some mile on the bike before I decide to hack at it.
