    single sided swingarm... idea only.....

    hi guys i was on my other web site for my xs650,,, and i have regularly come across a xs650 with a single sided swingarm,,, i think they look great... has anybody ever fitted 1 to our gs1000e,,, regards david

    Cut one side out of a G swingarm...



    don't think it would last long though!

      you may be on to something...hmmm If only i were a resourceful machinist or a man with a lot of money. lol Im not sure of the performance benefit of this mod, but i do think it looks very nice.

          i think i've seen the xs650 you're talking about... and the only thing thats an xs650 on that bike is the motor. it's a completely custom frame.. so if you could fab up your own frame and mount your gs1000 motor in there that'd probably be the only way. the old steel cradle frames probably can't take that kind of shearing stress.
