Hi all I have a windjammer ss fairing but I dont have the mounting hard ware. has anyone a pic of the mounting or a diagram? If I can see how it's done I should be able to make one.

Hi all thanks to all that sent pictures and ideas. I got it on and the difference is unbelievable. The GS needed to rev at 4000rmp to run at 100kph (60mph) and after the fairing same speed is at 3600rpm.And the ridder comfort most important is much better I don?t think I?ll have a naked bike again!

George, I'm glad you're happy you're now a well-faired rider. Many sensible people eventually come to the conclusion that a full fairing adds considerable comfort to the act of riding a motorcycle in all kinds of weather, over long distances -- macho-type diehards nonwithstanding.

I think my bike looks so much better naked BUT,,,After useing the windshield I can't go back.I tried a few times to go back to naked and there is no way.No matter how sexy my bike looks without the shield,it can't compare to the new useability my bike has with it.Comment

That's only possible if the bike has an automatic transmission with fluid coupler, or if the clutch is slipping.
I noticed the same thing, Swanny; it makes no sense. Glad you brought it up.

I agree that Jammers have many comfort advantages I tend to believe that any naysayers have not had to deal with 800 mile days in bad weather.. The last one I had was on a KZ1000. The only issue was a transfered vibration above 4000 rpm. I installed a "gasket" of 1/8' butyl rubber between the bracket and Jammer; problem solved. This may not be an issue with the smoother running GS, just a thought.Comment
