155mm from top to bottom incl the rubbers on the 1100 brackets. Got a really nice set here I can part with if you're interested in them, I won't use them as the forks are going on my 1000 (unless you want to go the other way & swap headlights!! )1980 GS1000G - Sold

I don't even have the headlight yet. I'm just thinking about it. I may have a spare Yamaha 8" headlight soon though. The 650 Seca uses one, as does the chain drive version of the 920 V Twin.
I'm just trying to figure it out to see what I might need.sigpic Too old, too many bikes, too many cars, too many things

When I converted my 1000G, I used black rubber hose couplers(solid rubber) as spacers between the triples and the headlight ears.
I used the headlight ears from a GS700e, and they were about 3" shorter top to bottem than the stock 1000g ears.sigpic

You can take up part of the distance by using the GS1100 air collars with the balancing tube (for show only). I did this when putting the 8" light onto my RSU GSXR forks.
